Citizens Science is organizing a program entitled The Living Web on Tuesday the 7th of  September, 2010 designed to help students of Class 8 build awareness about issues related to Biodiversity. The United Nations has declared 2010 as the International Year of Biodiversity that is aimed at celebrating life on earth and understanding the value of biodiversity in our lives.

The initiative, The Living Web would comprise a two part series of slide shows, one in September and the other in October that will help build a group of students with clearer understanding about the intricate linkages between biodiversity and sustainable development. This initiative will create a platform for students of the Delhi NCR region to engage in interactive sessions with renowned naturalists.   

PROGRAM SCHEDULE-

9:30- 10:00 a.m.  -       Registration (for outside schools)

10:00-11.00 a.m.  -      Session 1 with Mr. Ranjit Lal on Diversity of Natural Life
                       
11:00-12:00 a.m.  -      Session 2 with Mr Rajat Bhargav on The Weaver Birds of India

VVS Students of Class 8 and Biology students of Classes 11 and 12 will attend the program.
