ENVIRONMENT

Around 90 students from classes VI-X and the members of the Environment and Outreach Council participated in the "Silent Protest" for Tiger Conservation organised by KIDS FOR TIGER at India Gate on Tuesday, 11th July 2006. The protest tried to convey a simple message: The tiger is vanishing. We must protect it. But we cannot protect the tiger, without protecting its forests, not only from poachers, but also from those who want to turn its forests into dams and mines, or sites for factories and even nuclear reactors. By saving its forests, we automatically save our purest water sources. And this ends up protecting our own water and food security .
