International Dance Festival

Renowned Malaysian Dancer Ramli Ibrahim at VVS
Monday 2nd August 2010

Artists participating in this festival are all foreigners who have learnt classical Indian dance in our country .  ICCR organized a workshop by these returning artists followed by an informal interaction with young Indian students all over the country.  As a part of this endeavour Ramli Ibrahim from Malayasia visited VVS on Monday 2nd August at 9:30 am for an hour.

Ramli Ibrahim is an acclaimed dancer, choreographer and artistic director of SUTRA Dance Theatre. He is also the chairman of the Sutra foundation. Trained in classical ballet, modern dance and Indian classical dance he is a free spirit and dynamic force in Malaysia theatre. Ramli has been described as a mover and shaker, sweeping aside prevalent provincialism with his integrated vision of the arts.
