Jai Arora (Class 10) is back from the Special Olympics, summer games in Shanghai . A total of 120countries participated. India won a total of 150 medals.

Jai was vice- captain of the Indian Soccer team and came back with a Bronze medal.

“It was the greatest experience of my life”, says Jai. Cultural differences and language, proved no bar in making friends and interacting with athletes from all over the world.

Suman Bajaj (Special Educator) accompanied the team as Coach for Athletics. The Indian athletics team is back with 23 medals.” It was tough competing in Athletics, especially with the Chinese! The children worked really hard and put in huge efforts.”

“We visited several schools for Special children. They were very well equipped. We went to cook and share a meal with a Chinese family. They were very interested in hearing about the Vasant Valley experience”.
