Continuing precautions against H1N1 Virus
Dear Parents,
One of our students has tested positive for the H1N1 virus last evening. She and her sister have been advised to be on home quarantine till Tuesday, 8 th September, 2009.
We have spoken to Dr. Rahul Nagpal our school doctor and Dr. R. P. Vashisht, Controller H1N1, Government of Delhi and as per his advice, all students of her class and the children who travel by the same bus (Route 4) will be screened for flu like symptoms. This screening is being done by our school nurse in school.
We have sent the names of all the class 11 children and the Bus Route 4 children to the Government as required. All children whose names have been given to the Government will be treated by them if they have or develop any flu like symptoms.
In any case if your child shows flu like symptoms, do keep them at home for seven days. Please remember that this is a period of quarantine and not a holiday during which children can go to malls and parties. I am sure as responsible parents you will understand the importance of this.
As usual we continue our regimen of cleaning our school and buses on a regular basis. The hand sanitizers and tissues are available for students in all class rooms. As mentioned in the last mail we are using the new sanitizer and cleaning material in school. If you need these for use at home, please get in touch with Mr. Jenson Khosla in the Junior School office.
With regards,
Arun Kapur
