  &nb= sp;   Every student has= to make a PowerPoint presentation on Microbes during the computer class in Jul= y

  &nb= sp;   Your science teac= her will tell you what sort of information you need to present

  &nb= sp;   Your vacation pro= ject is to collect and organise information on Microbes from the internet. You m= ust NOT make the complete presentation in the holidays.

 

Given below are the instructions= for collecting and organising the information that you will collect during the vacation for the project. Please follow these instructions carefully.<= /o:p>

Two types = of information are essential

  &nb= sp;   Text: This is the actual information on microbes

  &nb= sp;   Pictures: Picture= s to illustrate the text

 

Optional types of information

      Videos, animations

      Sound clips

 

Where do y= ou save the information?

  &nb= sp;   Create a folder called <Your name> Microbes on your computer at home

  &nb= sp;   All files must be saved only in this folder

How you sh= ould save the text information

  &nb= sp;   Text information = must be saved as a black and white PowerPoint presentation

  &nb= sp;   The filename must= be your full name first name and surname

      The text should be sifted and put as bulleted points on each s= lide

  &nb= sp;   There must be onl= y 1 sentence for each point

  &nb= sp;   The information m= ust not be in paragraphs

  &nb= sp;   The presentation = MUST NOT have any pictures or colour i.e. no background, template etc.

 

How you sh= ould save the pictures

  &nb= sp;   All pictures must= be saved in the <your name> Microbes folder at home

  &nb= sp;   Whenever you find= a good picture, right click and select save as

  &nb= sp;   Give a meaningful name to your pictures, do not keep the same name that was there on the inte= rnet

  &nb= sp;   All Pictures shou= ld preferably be larger than 300 x 300

  &nb= sp;   Pictures must not= be smaller 100 x 100

  &nb= sp;   You must not save thumbnails

  &nb= sp;   You must not copy= and paste pictures in Word or PowerPoint

 

How to send the information

  &nb= sp;   Zip your folder i= nto a .zip file

  &nb= sp;   Make sure the zip file is not greater than 10MB

  &nb= sp;   If it is, break i= t up into two zip files

  &nb= sp;   It is OK not to z= ip if you want you can mail all= as separate attachments but in a single mail up to 10 MB

  &nb= sp;   E-mail the file or files to bahri@vasantvalley.org be= fore school reopens

  &nb= sp;   Do not send all y= our files/ pictures in separate e-mails

  &nb= sp;   The folder should= be e-mailed to me by 30th June 2008 and not after school reopens
