The events included both competitive events like Turncoat and Tall Tale competitions and non-competitive events comprising Book Discussions based on Agatha Christie’s ‘And Then There Were None’ for classes 8 and 9 and Leon Leyson’s ‘The Boy on the Wooden Box’ for classes 6 and 7. The book discussions provided a platform for critical analysis and understanding of literature through a variety of media. The Tall Tale competition allowed students to let their imagination run wild and weave an interesting story that grasped the attention of audiences. During the Turncoat competition students tested and developed their oratory and reasoning skills. The afternoon saw a variety of motions ranging from ‘This house will ban cosmetic surgery’ to ‘This house believes children should not be taught about Santa Claus’
