Change is an expression of freedom – a progression towards liberation. On the 15th of August, 2022, we collated artefacts from students and teachers across the entire school to display the change in India through the decades. From the Bhagvad Gita in Urdu of the 1940s to the Encyclopaedias and Shringaar of the 1960s-70s, and finally the Commonwealth Game invitations of the 2010s, we were able to collect the treasures that define our nation. Autograph books, Khadi sarees, original Kwality Wall’s cups, VCRs and 90s video games are heirlooms that form a part of Vasant Valley family’s history as well. Through “The Reminiscent Route”, we are shown the growth of our motherland and those small fragments that make up the memories of our grandparents and parents, and one day even our memories. These are the memories we will cherish forever.
