Friday, 21st of July was a momentous day for our two debate teams. The first team comprising Aryan Agarwal, Aryan Goyal, Siddhant Nagrath (grade 12) Sara Jayakumar (grade 11) and Aarush Kapur (grade 10) won the ’22nd Shri Debate’ organised by The Shriram School, Moulsari. The motion for the Final round was: This House Will actively prioritise Contemporary Literary themes over timeless classics in Literature syllabi for schools and universities.
The second team comprising our grade 10 debate enthusiasts, Jai Kalra, Kaasvee Kaur, and Devangana Jain, stood runners up in the ‘Jubilee Invitational Interschool Debate Competition organised by the Mount Carmel School, Dwarka. The motion for the Final round was: ‘ Air conditioned schools mean soft spoiled kids.’
Both the teams impressed the adjudicators with their powerful discourse and reached the finals with consecutive wins in the preliminary, quarter and semi-final rounds. The teams emerged victorious as both winners and runners up in two competitions held simultaneously
