The 23rd Edition of Laissez Faire was held on 17th July,2026. This year’s theme, “Finding ‘WE’ in a World of ‘ME'”, celebrated the importance of empathy, collaboration, and dialogue. In an increasingly diverse and interconnected world, we believe that meaningful progress is achieved not by competing against one another, but by listening, understanding different perspectives, and moving forward together.
In addition to the much-awaited Social Science Quiz, this year’s event featured a range of engaging and thought-provoking competitions:
- Beyond the Frame: The Other Side – Participants created a short film inspired by real human experiences, exploring themes of empathy, identity, misunderstanding, belonging, and the connections that transcend differences in today’s rapidly changing world.

- Safeguarding the Past for the Future: Humanity Unmuted – Teams designed an awareness campaign highlighting the impact of contemporary geopolitical conflicts on historical and cultural heritage, while advocating for its preservation.

- Lens of Belonging – Through photography, participants captured moments that reflect empathy, identity, belonging, and the human connections that unite us despite our differences.

- The Expansion Lab: Planet, Policy and Profit – Students assumed the role of the International Expansion Division of a start-up, redesigning its business strategy to successfully enter an assigned international market while considering social, environmental, and economic contexts.
