The 17th HC-APYLS was held from 19–24 July 2026 at Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore, under the theme “Intelligence by Design, Humanity by Intent.” The summit brought together 76 delegates from 13 countries, representing schools across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
We are proud to share that our three delegates, Aarna Gupta, Shirin Shaw and Nysa Bedi of Class 12, represented India at the 17th Hwa Chong Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Summit (HC-APYLS) held at Singapore and won the Best Project Award, a proud moment for our school and a strong testament to their teamwork, ideas, and effort throughout the summit.
On the final day, delegates from all participating countries came together to set up a Cultural Exhibition, where the girls served as active ambassadors of Indian culture. They decorated their stall to reflect India’s rich heritage, spoke to fellow delegates about the country, and served savoury and sweet snacks to give everyone a taste of Indian cuisine. They also gave away bangles and small souvenirs, and recited a few mantras to offer a glimpse into Indian values and traditions, leaving a warm and memorable impression of India among the international delegates.
The summit concluded with a Closing Ceremony at Temasek Shophouse, with delegates reflecting on the friendships and insights built over the week and a shared commitment to carrying the spirit of the summit into their communities. They returned not just with an award, but with a deeper appreciation for empathy, cultural exchange and the shared responsibility that comes with being part of a connected, diverse global community — lessons we hope will continue to shape their outlook long after the summit has ended.
