Amarya Bajaj represented India at the 33rd Asian Junior Squash Individual Championship in the Boys Under-13 category, where he entered the tournament as the top Indian seed and was seeded No. 3 overall.
He began his campaign strongly with a convincing 3–0 victory against a player from Macau in the opening round. In the pre-quarterfinals, he faced the No. 3 seed from Malaysia and delivered an impressive performance to win 3–0. Continuing his dominant run, Amarya won his quarterfinal match against another Indian player with another straight-games 3–0 victory. In the semifinals, he faced the tournament’s second seed from Malaysia in a highly competitive match and showed remarkable composure, determination, and resilience to secure a 3–1 win and advance to the finals.
In the final, Amarya played against a strong opponent from Hong Kong . He started exceptionally well and took a commanding 2–0 lead. Although the match eventually went in favour of his opponent with a close 3–2 result, Amarya’s performance throughout the tournament reflected tremendous skill, fighting spirit, discipline, and mental strength at the international level.
Finishing as runner-up at the Asian Junior Championships is a proud achievement and an important milestone in his squash journey.
